Citizens Turn In Additional Mayor Petitions to City Clerk
Thank you to the Pueblo CALM volunteers who worked hard over the weekend to gather the necessary 236 additional signatures for the strong mayor ballot initiative. We turned in 635 signatures today at Pueblo City Hall!
Statement of Purpose We are a group of concerned citizens advocating a mayoral / council form of government for the betterment of the citizens of Pueblo, Colorado.
The Committee to Assess Local Mayorship (CALM) is a large and varied coalition of people growing in number day by day that is interested in the betterment of Pueblo. It is made up of ordinary men and women who reflect Pueblo’s business, education, law enforcement, governmental and financial communities. It is not a group of Democrats or Republicans that want to take over the city council. CALM is registered with the Pueblo City Clerk’s Office. We believe that changing our current form of city government to a mayor/council form of government will better represent the needs of the people and city of Pueblo.
